2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

"If anyone is in Christ" suggests to me that there are people who are in Christ and there are people who are not in Christ. Paul is saying that those who are in Christ posses some distinct qualities.

Those qualities are
1.) They are a new creation
2.) Their old habbits, old nature is gone away and they are totally new.
3.) They are the people who have been reconciled with God.
4.) These are the people who have been entrusted with ministry of reconciliation. i.e. to reconcile people with God.
5.) These are the people whose past trespasses are not imputed to them.
6.) These are the people who are Ambassadors for Christ.
7.) These are the people who have become righteousness of God.

What about those who are not in Christ? Think and try to figure out.
