Even to this day.....a veil lies on their heart By Vinod at 2005-05-02 15:42:41

2 Cor 3:14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. 2 Cor 3:15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. 2 Cor 3:16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 2 Cor 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Most of the time there are denominations fighting with each other. Reason given is that "this is how we interpret". Interpretation differs from one denomination to other. Paul explains that these differences in interpretations are because of the veil. People read the Word of God and don't understand it.
When a person turns to the Lord this veil is taken away. That suggests to me that a person lives and walks in wrong interpretation untill he/she asks help from the Lord Jesus Christ. When a person turns from his evil ways and repents and turns toward the Lord Jesus Christ. At this point this person begins to understand the scripture in a better way.
